30 Days of Colour Challenge: Day 13 - Duochrome

By Nesita - April 13, 2015

And since I'm catching up, here's my second post of the day! I'm skipping the prompt for day 12 which is jelly, because the polish I was planning to use apparently got reformulated and now it's not so much a jelly but more like a cream, so no jellys in my collection. But let's get on with today's prompt which is duochrome. Wanna know what I chose? Keep reading!

This is Catrice's 840 Genius In The Bottle and while this is probably more multichrome that duo, this is the closest I own to a true duochrome. It has an antique gold that shifts to an olive green and you can even see blue in the bottle, though I don't see it on my nails. It's a bit sheer on the first coat but two (as seen here) evens it out nicely. As most of these kind of shades though, there's a fair amount of visible brush strokes which I don't mind that much because the colour is really pretty.

And yes, this is one of the bajillion dupes out there for Chanel's Peridot. Remember when it came out and everyone went batshit crazy for it? And then pretty much every single brand came with their own version of the colour. Those were the times...haha.

Here's a look at other fills for today's theme:

And that's me for today! Do you like this kind of colours? Do you own the real deal or did you cheap out like me and get a 'dupe'? Let me know in the comments and thanks for reading!
